NEW HVAC READY FOR SUMMER! Welcome to The Manatee, a modernist three bedroom home one stroll from the ocean that’s filled with the art of today. The work by emerging and mature Texas artists selected and installed by the homeowner, a contemporary art professional, adds spirit to this beachside hideaway.

All the artwork and minimalist furnishings and decor make this a peaceful and calm beach retreat. The home features 3 bedrooms and 2 and 1/2 baths, full updated kitchen, 2 car gargage and serene backyard complete with patio. Wireless internet and cable television are also supplied.

Walking in through the front door will set you at peace in the minimalist surroundings featuring a living room, dining area and fully stocked kitchen. A convenient half bath is also located on this main level. Outside is a nice sized patio overlooking a serene backyard.

Upstairs you will find all of the bedrooms complete with master bedroom and en-suite bath and private balcony to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Two additional bedroom in the rear of the home share a full bath as well as their own private balcony.

  Our stay at The Manatee on #3rd Ave. in Jacksonville Beach, July 24-27 was absolutely delightful. Our arrival started perfectly with your friendly property management representative being on site as we pulled in. The home was conveniently close to family on 30th Ave. whom we were visiting and the home was perfect for us 3 adults and 1 two year old. The design and layout worked well for us with plenty of room to both play, rest and eat. Plus, we loved the artwork and cool sand colors of the decor. All the essential supplies in bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen were in place (with the exception of only 1 bar of soap in the showers). The beds were particularly comfortable and we were grateful for the crib in the small bedroom. The proximity to the beach made for an easy walk to get there as well as to our family on 30th Ave. The well placed faucet and hose by the garage door made for easy cleanup from trips to the beach as did the outdoor shower behind the garage. We had some initial concerns about traffic noise from 3rd Ave., being only two houses in on 33rd Ave., but that proved to be unfounded. Upon leaving, we tried to leave the house as clean or cleaner than when we arrived. We will definitely plan to stay at The Manatee again on our next trip down to Jacksonville Beach.   We needed a place for a month while our home was being renovated. This house is east of 3rd and blocks to the beach, which we enjoyed walking to at night and running on in the morning. Several grocery stores are nearby including Publix, Trader Joes and Whole Foods. The home also has great fruit trees in the backyard, we had fresh limes during our stay. The home is not fancy, but it is an affordable beach house and great for two adults and two kids. The property managers are also great and easy to work with.

  My friends and I stayed at Lancelot Castles for a 40th birthday trip. We had a few kids in tow, and everyone had a great time. The space was incredibly well appointed for all of our cooking, sleeping, and beach adventuring needs. It was a short two blocks to a beautiful stretch of Jacksonville beach that was gorgeous and serene. The waves were fun for boogy boarding and there were a bunch of interesting shells. Our stay was perfect, and we really enjoyed all the amenities!

  Our vacation was a great experience. The home was very spacious. The beach was just a couple of blocks away. We were there to see our son who lives in Jacksonville. The rental could use some updating, such as carpet on stairs and bedrooms. The bedroom mattress were not the most comfortable but the price was worth it.

  My husband and I went to Jacksonville with our 3 young boys to visit. The house was perfect. Great location - close to the beach and a safe, quiet street. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed. We loved that the house itself is really quiet. Kids were able to get up and go downstairs for cartoons without waking us. The time in Jacksonville was great and we'd stay at this property again in a heartbeat.

  While we were waiting for our new home to finish being built, this vacation rental "home away from home" was the perfect place for my family to stay. From every sitting area, you can look out the windows and see trees or flowers. We walked or rode our bikes to the beach each day and most nights. The stress of building was taken away. I would recommend this rental for short or long term to anyone, just needing to get away.

  A welcome relief from the usual shells-and-wicker beach house decor, this house has a cool modern interior studded with wonderful art. (Stayed up late reading the edges of a very philosophical painting one night!) The walk to the beach is short and interesting, and unlike many beach areas this is a real neighborhood, complete with friendly neighbors. Everything you need is either in the house or just a short drive away (like Starbucks!) Would love to stay here again,
